Description: Titled "Ndiassane rediscovers the 'miracle' of its spring," the article reports that Ahmet Kounta, spokesman and son of the Khalif General of the Ndiassane Khadiriyya, announced that its spring has reappeared. After having run dry in recent years, it is again providing potable water just as Ndiassane is about to celebrate the 2014 pilgrimage (gammu). The spring first appeared in 1883 after Ndiassane founder Cheikh Bou Mouhamed Kounta prayed for water on behalf of the local population.
The theme of the 2014 pilgrimage will be "The Khadiriyya Solution to the Crisis: Truth, Justice, Forgiveness, and Solidarity."
