Biography: Reverend Dr. Justice O. Akrofi is Bishop of Accra and Archbishop of the Province of West Africa of the Anglican Church. He started his education in Ghana but received his graduate divinity degree from Yale University in the United States. He served as senior instructor for religious studies at Adisadel College in Cape Coast in the mid-1970s. He has served as dean and bishop of the Accra dioceses of the Anglican Church since the 1990s. He was elected as Archbishop of the Anglican Church in the Province of West Africa in 2003.
Description: Purpose of interview was to have conversation about the role of the Anglican Church of Ghana in the provision of secular education as well as to investigate the methods adopted by the Church for inter-denominational tolerance. The pictures taken to correspond to the interview show a Church that is very well endowed and also very committed to the provision of public education.
