Biography: Hannan Al Waiz was born in Kumasi to Muslim parents, and his grandfather was a well known Malam. He studied with his uncle and also finished junior secondary school. All his sisters also are educated. He sells bicycles with his father. This bicycle seller followed his father into the trade and continues living and working with his brothers. They have rented a room to aChristian woman and pray for each other. Following the rules laid down by Allah is important to him, including early marriage. He studies Islam with his uncle and believes both boys and girls should be educated, but not the same.
