Alioune Makhtar Kounta, following the interview with Cheikh Becaye Kounta and Imam Bouna Mouhamed Bouna Kounta. Mr. Kounta received his early religious education in Ndankh and later became a teacher of Arabic. He was teaching Arabic in a middle school (college) near Ndankh at the time the photo was taken. Three of the Ndankh Koranic school (daara) teachers in the accompanying photos are his former students.
